Connecting Threads Among Friends 2010 Retreat at the Cabin!!!

It is that time again. I will be going up April 15th - 18th. Please contact me if you are interested in going so I can put you on the list. The cost will be $5 more dollars this year than last year but I think it is worth it. I would like to collect all the money by April 1st. Let me know what type of family dinners everyone is interested in having Friday and Saturday night.

Last year we did the Indigo Junction purse/tote bag and the glam bags with the zippers. Is there something that you ladies would like to do this year? Just let me know, otherwise just bring your projects. Hope to see most of you there. I just can't wait.

Here is my newest addition to the family! 10/14/1953

(Maybe I should have turned my Ott lite off in the back there. It might have helped with the picture.)

I got this 1953 Feather weight and table thursday after I got off of work. Both need repairs and should be up an running for next months quilting retreat. I couldn't wait to make this cute table cover and of course they are made of purple and blue batiks. I made it a dual layer so I can place sample blocks or instructions under the clear vinyl.

This is a side pocket that will hold my scissors etc.

I am not sure if I will be using this machine for my retreats. I really like sewing on my 1939 scroll face featherweight. I know that I will be using the table on retreats. I am thinking of putting the 1953 in the 5th wheel so I don't always have to pack my other machine.

This is another pocket for trash and treads etc. I tell you I love the binding foot for the featherweight. It is wonderful.

Does anyone out there know if they make a foot that will do binding bigger than 15/16???????

Sewing Machine Organizer with lots of COLOR!!!

I really like how my sewing machine organizer turned out. Thank you Jenn. I love this pattern. I am going to be making both of the girls one for their featherweights.

Quilt Show Entries 2010

Karissa loves to wear this outfit. She also made this in her sewing class. I am very proud of her.

Here is Karissa with her favorite Pj's that she made in her sewing school.

This is a quilt that I entered into the quilt show this year. I got the fabric as a birthday gift from Sandra.

This was my gift to my brother for his 40th birthday. He is a long haul truck driver. Uncle
Bubba even showed up at the end of the quilt show to make sure that he would get it back ASAP.

This was Amber's entry. This is the quilt, tote and pillow case that she made at her 12th birthday sleepover.

This is the set that Olivia made. They use these several times through out the year for all of their sleepovers.

These were my entries into the wearables art this year.

Here is the inside of my purse. Here is the inside of my tote bag. I love all of these color.

Hello Ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will try to get everyone caught up with this past months activities.

Here is a children's quilt that I made for Philanthropy while we were camping over thanksgiving. I used my new quilting frame to quilt it once we got home.

Here is the back of the quilt. It gives you a visual on my quilting.

Here is a little wall hanging of Amber's that she wanted quilted. I did some free motion quilting with bright varigated thread.

I wish you could see the true thread colors. It is so pretty. The pictures just don't show it.

Here is the cat wall hanging that I did for the quilters raffle baskets. It turned out so cute.
Here is a matching throw pillow. I also made a matching stuffed cat but didn't get a photo.
